Biography

Hirohide Abe is a Japanese film editor. His credits include Sharaku (1995), Welcome Back, Mr. McDonald (1997), The Spiral (1998) and Battle Royale (2000).

Abe also edited Battle Royale II: Requiem (2003), Black Belt (2007), Golden Slumber (2010), Isoroku Yamamoto, the Commander-in-Chief of the Combined Fleet (2011) and Sadako 3D (2012). He received the Japanese Academy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film Editing for Battle Royale.
