Biography
Hiroyasu Yamaura is a Japanese screenwriter and novelist. He studied at Waseda University’s Faculty of Letters and made his debut as a screenwriter in 1961 after winning an award in a national script competition.
Yamaura contributed episodes to numerous tokusatsu television series produced by Tsuburaya Productions, including Ultra Q (1966–1967), Ultraseven (1967–1968) and Ultraman 80 (1980–1981). He co-wrote the screenplay for the Toho film Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974) with Jun Fukuda and also wrote for Tokyo Blackout (1987). His credits extend to anime series and novels in the mystery and science-fiction genres.
