Biography
Hiroyuki Ishido, also credited as 石堂 宏之, Hiroyuki Ishidô and Hiroyuki Ishidou, is a Japanese anime director and episode director. He worked as an episode director on the television series Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995), directing episodes 3, 6, 10, 12 and 21, and providing storyboards for episode 3.
His other directing credits include episodes of Great Teacher Onizuka (1999), His and Her Circumstances (1998), Ghost Stories (2000), Tokyo Mew Mew (2002), Hell Girl (2005) and Azumanga Daioh (2002). He has also contributed storyboards and served as an assistant director on earlier productions such as Akira (1988).
