Biography
Hiroyuki Sawano is a Japanese composer, arranger, lyricist, pianist and music producer. Born on 12 September 1980 in Tokyo, he began piano lessons in elementary school and studied composition, arrangement and orchestration under Nobuchika Tsuboi from the age of 17. He has been active as a composer since 2004.
He is credited with the music for the anime series Attack on Titan (2013), Kill la Kill (2013), The Seven Deadly Sins (2014), Blue Exorcist (2011), Seraph of the End (2015) and Solo Leveling (2024), as well as films including One Piece Film: Red (2022) and Bubble (2022). He has also worked on video games such as Xenoblade Chronicles X (2015).
In 2014 he launched the vocal project SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]. He was represented by the agency Legendoor from 2006 to 2017 and has since been represented by VV-ALKLINE.
