Biography
Hisakazu Tsuji (also credited as Kyûchi Tsuji or 辻久一) was a Japanese film producer, production designer and writer. Born on 18 March 1914 in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, he died on 3 January 1981.
He worked extensively with director Kenji Mizoguchi in the early 1950s, serving as production designer on Sansho the Bailiff (1954), producer on A Geisha (1953) and contributing the story or idea for Ugetsu (1953). Later credits include producer on Samaritan Zatoichi (1968).
