Biography
Hossein Amini is an Iranian-born British screenwriter and film director. He has worked as a screenwriter since the early 1990s.
Amini wrote the screenplay for Drive (2011). He is also credited on the screenplay for Clayface (2026). His other film credits include The Wings of the Dove (1997), The Four Feathers (2002), Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), 47 Ronin (2013), The Two Faces of January (2014), which he also directed, Our Kind of Traitor (2016) and The Snowman (2017).
On television, he created and wrote McMafia (2018) and contributed to The Alienist (2018) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022). He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Wings of the Dove.
