Biography
Hsieh Hai-Meng is a Taiwanese screenwriter. Born in Taipei in 1986, she studied anthropology at National Chengchi University and is the niece of writer Chu T'ien-wen. She belongs to a prominent family of Taiwanese writers.
She co-wrote the screenplay for The Assassin (2015) with Hou Hsiao-hsien, Chu T'ien-wen and Ah Cheng. She later published Nuages mouvants, a chronicle of the film's development and production. The screenplay received a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Golden Horse Awards.
