Biography
Hsin Shu-Fen (also credited as 辛樹芬) is a Taiwanese actress. She was born on 2 December 1965 in Taipei and studied at Hsing Wu University.
She was discovered by director Hou Hsiao-hsien while still at school and made her debut as Wu Shumei in his film The Time to Live and the Time to Die (1985). She went on to appear in several of his subsequent works, including the lead role of Jiang Suyun in Dust in the Wind (1986) and supporting parts in Daughter of the Nile (1987) and A City of Sadness (1989), in which she played Wu Kuan Mei / Hinome.
Hsin retired from acting after A City of Sadness and later moved to the United States.
