Biography
Huang Ha was a Hong Kong actor and martial arts choreographer, also credited as Wong Ha, Wang Hai and Wong Gwong. He worked extensively in Hong Kong cinema from the 1970s to the 1990s, appearing in more than 100 films, often in supporting or villainous roles, and contributed to action direction on several productions.
He trained under Hung Ga grandmaster Liu Zhan and was associated with the Liu Family Team and Hong Family Team. Notable credits include General Tun in Peking Opera Blues (1986), Boss at Tavern in A Chinese Ghost Story (1987), Mr Yam in Mr. Vampire (1985) and the rainmaker in The Miracle Fighters (1982). He also directed Mission to Kill (1983) and The Descendant of Wing Chun (1978).
Huang Ha was born in 1946 and died on 27 March 2022 in Hong Kong.
