Biography
Huang Suying was a Chinese actress. Born in January 1919 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, she died on 21 November 2017 in China. She began her screen career in the early 1950s and was long associated with the Beijing Film Studio.
Over more than six decades she appeared in dozens of films and television productions, frequently in supporting roles as elderly women. Her credits include Auntie Wu in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) and Yan's grandmother in Cell Phone (2003). Other films include Gone Is the One Who Held Me Dearest in the World (2002) and Wheat (2009).
