Biography
Huma Qureshi is an Indian actress who works primarily in Hindi cinema. She made her feature film debut in a supporting role as Mohsina Hamid in Anurag Kashyap's two-part crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1 (2012) and reprised the role in the sequel later that year. The performance earned her nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and Best Supporting Actress.
Qureshi studied history at the University of Delhi while working in theatre. She later moved to Mumbai and appeared in television commercials before being cast in the film. Her subsequent credits include Dedh Ishqiya (2014), Badlapur (2015), Jolly LLB 2 (2017), Viceroy's House (2017), Army of the Dead (2021), Monica, O My Darling (2022) and Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), as well as series such as Delhi Crime (2019) and Maharani (2021–present). She has a brother, actor Saqib Saleem.
