Biography
Hwang Seok-jeong (also credited as Hwang Suk-jung) is a South Korean actress. Born on 2 February 1971 in Busan, she studied Korean traditional music at Seoul National University and theatre at Korea National University of Arts before making her screen debut in 2001.
She has appeared in supporting roles in films including The Yellow Sea (2010), The Wailing (2016) and Memoir of a Murderer (2017), and in television series such as She Was Pretty (2015), Because This Is My First Life (2017) and Dali & Cocky Prince (2021). She played the Head of Health Center in the 2026 film Hope, directed by Na Hong-jin, with whom she had previously worked on two films.
Hwang received the Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries award at the 34th MBC Drama Awards for her performance in She Was Pretty.
