Biography
Ian Aspinall is a British actor born in 1961 in Bolton, Lancashire. He grew up in the Haulgh area of the town.
Aspinall played Nazir Khan in the 1999 film East Is East. He is also known for his role as Mubbs Hussein in the BBC series Holby City (2001–2005) and as PC Colin Jitlada in City Central (1998–2000). His other television credits include appearances in Casualty, The Bill, Silent Witness, Peak Practice and Waterloo Road. He was the first actor to portray Darren Whateley in Coronation Street.
