Biography
Ian Rawnsley was a British production designer who worked extensively in television from the 1960s onwards. He contributed to numerous BBC series, including early episodes of Doctor Who (credited on the 1974 serial Robot), To the Manor Born (1979–1980), Two Up, Two Down (1979), The Bagthorpe Saga (1981) and Alas Smith & Jones (1984).
His other credits encompassed comedy and drama programmes such as Butterflies, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, Till Death Us Do Part, The Liver Birds and Blankety Blank. Rawnsley died on 6 August 2013 in England. He was the elder brother of opera singer and actor John Rawnsley.
