Biography
Ilana Peña is a television writer, creator and director. She worked as a writing assistant on several series before joining the staff of the CW musical comedy Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015), where she was promoted to staff writer and received writing credits on three episodes across seasons three and four.
Peña created, executive produced and wrote for the Disney+ series Diary of a Future President (2020), a coming-of-age comedy-drama about a Cuban-American girl from Miami. She also directed one episode of the show. She studied theatre at Northwestern University and is a 2021 Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree in Hollywood & Entertainment.
