Biography
Im Hyun-sik is a South Korean actor. He was born on 31 December 1945 in Sunchang County, North Jeolla Province. He graduated from Hanyang University with a degree in theatre and film, and debuted in 1969 as part of the first open recruitment of talents at MBC.
He is best known for his leading role as Sundol's father in the long-running family drama Three Families Under One Roof (1986–1993). He has also appeared in supporting roles in the period dramas Hur Jun (1999) and Jewel in the Palace (2003) as Kang Duk-gu, as well as in films including Tube (2003) and 200 Pounds Beauty (2006). In 2026 he played Mr Hae-sul in the film Hope.
