Biography
Ingrid Burkhard is an Austrian actress. Born on 7 June 1931 in Vienna, she trained at the Max Reinhardt Seminar and began her career in theatre, with early engagements at the Vorarlberger Landestheater followed by work in Linz, Bonn and Zürich alongside her husband, the actor Hannes Siegl.
She is known for her long-running television role as Antonia 'Toni' Sackbauer in the series Ein echter Wiener geht nicht unter (1975–79) and its later film adaptations, as well as recurring parts in the Da wo … series of television films. In film she appeared as Annegret in Toni Erdmann (2016), Marianne in Die Einsiedler (2016) and Frau Schikowa in The Trouble with Being Born (2020).
Burkhard received the Goldenes Ehrenzeichen für Verdienste um die Republik Österreich in 2011 and the Österreichischer Filmpreis for best actress in 2019.
