Biography
Isiah Thomas, also credited as Isiah Lord Thomas III, is an American former professional basketball player who has appeared in film and television. Born on 30 April 1961 in Chicago, Illinois, he played his entire NBA career with the Detroit Pistons, winning two championships and earning 12 All-Star selections before retiring in 1994.
Thomas has made numerous media appearances, including as himself in the documentary Hoop Dreams (1994). He has also featured in films such as Forget Paris (1995) and television series including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990), Home Improvement (1993) and Due South (1996). He is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
