Biography
Itsurō Kawasaki is a Japanese anime director, storyboard artist and screenwriter. He began his career as an animator at I.G Tatsunoko and remained with the studio after its renaming to Production I.G in 1993, later rising to director. He has also worked frequently as director and storyboard artist on series for Zexcs and often serves as screenwriter on projects he directs.
His directing credits include Arc the Lad (1999), The Legend of the Legendary Heroes (2010), Psycho-Pass (2012), Haikyu!! (2014), Magical Girl Ore (2018), True Cooking Master Boy (2019–2021), The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting (2022) and Fena: Pirate Princess (2021). He has contributed storyboards and episode direction to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (2002) and other series.
