Biography
Iva Davies (born Ivor Arthur Davies, 22 May 1955) is an Australian composer, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as co-founder and lead singer of the rock band Icehouse, with whom he achieved success from the early 1980s.
Davies has composed for film and television, including the original score for Razorback (1984) and, with Christopher Gordon and Richard Tognetti, the score for Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003). The latter won the APRA/AGSC Screen Music Award for Best Soundtrack Album in 2004. He also scored the miniseries The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant (2005).
