Biography
Ivan Shaw is an American actor born in Taipei, Taiwan. He moved to Upland, California, at the age of four and studied mathematics, economics and computer science at the University of California, Los Angeles. He began his career with stage work in New York before making his television debut in the daytime soap All My Children in 2002.
Shaw is known for recurring and guest roles in series including The Book of Daniel (2006) as Adam Webster, Insecure (2016) as Justin, Silicon Valley (2014) as an Ad Exec, New Girl (2011) as Dean, NCIS (2003) as Victor Cheng, Monk (2002) as a Producer, Chicago Med (2015) as Dr Justin Lieu, Rizzoli & Isles (2010) as Chef Holden, The Cleaning Lady (2022) as Marco de la Rosa, That Dirty Black Bag (2022) as Kurt and Dear Edward (2023) as Steve. He has also appeared in films such as Get Him to the Greek (2010) and Nocturne (2020), and has worked as a producer and writer on several projects.
