Biography
J.D. Dillard (also credited as Justin Dillard) is an American film director, producer and screenwriter. Born on 26 December 1987 in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, he began directing short films and music videos before making his feature debut with the science-fiction crime drama Sleight (2016).
He has since directed the survival horror film Sweetheart (2019) and the historical war drama Devotion (2022). Dillard has also directed episodes of the anthology and miniseries Two Sentence Horror Stories (2019), The Outsider (2020), The Twilight Zone (2020) and Utopia (2020). His father’s career as a Naval flight officer informed his work on Devotion.
