Biography
J. Todd Scott is a writer and producer working in television. He contributed to the Paramount+ series Lawmen: Bass Reeves (2023) as a writer on one episode and consulting producer on the miniseries. He has writing and producing credits on the series Dutton Ranch (2026).
Scott is also the author of several crime and thriller novels, including the Chris Cherry series set in West Texas. A former DEA agent with more than twenty years of service, he grew up in rural Kentucky and holds a law degree from George Mason University.
