Biography
Jacek Dehnel is a Polish poet, writer, translator and painter. He was born on 1 May 1980 in Gdańsk and studied Polish language and literature at the University of Warsaw.
Dehnel has published poetry collections, novels including Lala (2006) and Saturn (2011), and short stories. He has received the Kościelski Award in 2005 and the Paszport Polityki award in 2007, and has been nominated several times for the Nike Award.
In 2017 he co-wrote the screenplay for the animated film Loving Vincent, directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman. He is married to translator and historian Piotr Tarczyński.
