Biography
Jack Barth is an Anglo-American writer and television producer. He wrote the season seven episode 'A Fish Called Selma' of The Simpsons (1996) and contributed lyrics to songs in the episode. A former editor of the Stanford Chaparral, he has written for film, television, books and magazines.
Barth created the story that formed the basis for the 2019 film Yesterday, for which he received a co-story credit with Richard Curtis. He wrote and produced several British television series presented by Jonathan Ross, including Americana (1992), Japanorama (2002–2007) and Asian Invasion (2006). His books include the co-authored Roadside America (1986) and Sold Short.
