Biography
Jack LaLanne (also credited as François Henri LaLanne or Jack La Lanne) was an American fitness expert, television host and occasional actor. Born in San Francisco, California, on 26 September 1914, he died on 23 January 2011 in Morro Bay, California.
He hosted the long-running syndicated exercise programme The Jack LaLanne Show from 1951 to 1985. LaLanne appeared as himself in the film The Ladies Man (1961) and in episodes of television series including Mister Ed (1961), The Addams Family (1964) and Batman (1966). He also featured in later productions such as Repossessed (1990) and provided a voice for The Simpsons (1989).
