Biography

Jacqueline Bouchard is a French costume designer. She grew up in Paris and studied English and art history at the École du Louvre, also taking drawing lessons. She began her career as a stylist in advertising, working on campaigns for brands including Kodak and Lee Cooper alongside her sister Catherine Bouchard, with Jean-Paul Goude as a mentor.

Bouchard entered film with Claude Miller's L'Effrontée (1985), for which she received a César nomination for Best Costumes. She collaborated regularly with Miller on around ten films, including A Secret (2007) and his final film Thérèse (2012). Her credits also include The Dinner Game (1998), The Closet (2001), Ruby & Quentin (2003), The Valet (2006), Camping (2006), I've Loved You So Long (2008), My Old Lady (2014) and Camping 2 (2010). She has received one César win and further nominations.
