Biography
Jacqueline C. Cambas is an American film editor. Born in New York City, she studied education and psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles, from 1972 to 1976 and worked as a teacher before entering the film industry in the mid-1970s.
She began as an assistant editor to Tom Rolf on films including Hardcore (1979). From Racing with the Moon (1984) she frequently collaborated with director Richard Benjamin on titles such as City Heat (1984), The Money Pit (1986), Mermaids (1990) and Made in America (1993). Other credits include Cat People (1982), Frankie and Johnny (1991), School Ties (1992) and Now and Then (1995). She is a life member of the Board of Directors of American Cinema Editors since 2017.
