Biography
Jacqueline McKenzie is an Australian actress born on 24 October 1967 in Sydney. She trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), graduating in 1990, and made her film debut in Wordplay (1987). She first gained prominence with her performance as Gabe in the 1992 film Romper Stomper.
McKenzie received Australian Film Institute awards for her roles in Angel Baby (1995) and the television drama Halifax f.p.: "Lies of the Mind" (1995). She later appeared in films such as Deep Blue Sea (1999) and The Water Diviner (2014), and played the lead role of Diana Skouris in the science fiction series The 4400 (2004–2007). She has also worked extensively in American television, including guest roles in Desperate Housewives, CSI: Miami and NCIS: Los Angeles.
In 2018 she reprised the role of Gabe in the Stan series Romper Stomper. Her stage credits include a Broadway debut in The Present (2016).
