Biography
Jacques Cottin (2 November 1922 – 9 July 2002) was a French costume designer. He began working in film in 1947 and collaborated several times with Jacques Tati.
His credits include costume design on Jour de fête (1949), Mon Oncle (1958), PlayTime (1967), The Gendarme Gets Married (1968) and The Things of Life (1970). He also worked on television series such as Graine d'ortie (1973) and Les faucheurs de marguerites (1974). His final film credit was in 1991.
Cottin appeared in small uncredited roles as an actor, including as Monsieur Hulot in François Truffaut's Bed and Board (1970).
