Biography
Jacques Fabbri, born Jacques Claude Fabbricotti, was a French actor. He trained at the École du Vieux-Colombier after the Second World War and founded his own theatre company in 1953, which won the Concours des Jeunes Compagnies. He began appearing in films in 1949 and acted in around fifty titles over the following decades, often in supporting roles.
He is known for appearances in The Grand Manoeuvre (1955), Daisy Town (1971), The Lady Banker (1980), Diva (1981) as Commissaire Jean Saporta, and Lucky Luke: Daltons on the Loose (1983). Fabbri also directed and wrote for theatre and film, and had an extensive television career that included the series Schulmeister, espion de l'empereur.
He was married to actress Claudine Collas.
