Biography
Jake Panian is an American art director, visual development artist and production designer based in Los Angeles. He studied at San Jose State University, where he earned a BFA.
His credits include visual development on The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021) and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), colour and set design on Epic (2013), and production design on the animated feature Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender (2026). He was nominated for a VES Award in 2014 for his work on Epic. An early production painting by Panian was used as the cover for the novel Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender: A Novel.
