Biography
James Andelin (also credited as Jim Andelin) was an American actor and voiceover artist. Born in Provo, Utah, he began performing on radio in Chicago around the age of 12 and maintained a long career there in radio, including voiceover work on programmes such as Little Orphan Annie and Jack Armstrong.
Andelin served as an entertainer in the US Army during the Second World War. He later appeared in supporting roles in films including Field of Dreams (1989) as the Feed Store Farmer, Grumpier Old Men (1995) as Sven, Rookie of the Year (1993) as the Wizard of Wrigley, and Stir of Echoes (1999) as an elderly man, as well as the television series Early Edition (1996) as Dr Thomas. He died in Chicago, Illinois, in 2006.
