Biography
James Coblentz is a film and television editor, also credited as Jim Coblentz. He has worked on numerous feature films and series since the 1970s, with early credits including assistant editor roles and later full editing positions on titles such as Streets of Fire (1984), The People Under the Stairs (1991), Final Destination (2000) and The One (2001).
Coblentz is most recognised for his contributions to the television series The X-Files, for which he edited 15 episodes between 1993 and 1995. In 1994 he won an International Monitor Award for the episode "Beyond the Sea", and in 1995 he received nominations for both an International Monitor Award and a Primetime Emmy for "Duane Barry".
Other notable television credits include episodes of Quantum Leap (1991), Ghost Whisperer (2005–2007), Numb3rs (2005), Curse of Chucky (2013) and five episodes of Prison Break (2005–2017).
