Biography
James Denton, also credited as Jamie Denton, is an American actor born on 20 January 1963 in Nashville, Tennessee. He is known for playing Mike Delfino in the ABC comedy-drama series Desperate Housewives (2004–2012).
Denton graduated with a degree in advertising from the University of Tennessee and worked in radio advertising before beginning his acting career in community theatre in Nashville. He later performed in Chicago stage productions, including a Joseph Jefferson Award-nominated role in The Diviners, before relocating to Los Angeles. Early screen credits include Face/Off (1997) and a recurring role as Mr Lyle in The Pretender (1996–2000).
He has also appeared in The West Wing, voiced Superman in All-Star Superman (2011), and played Dr Sam Radford in the Hallmark series Good Witch (2015–2021). Denton received Screen Actors Guild Awards as part of the Desperate Housewives ensemble cast.
