Biography
James Gow (23 August 1907 – 11 February 1952) was an American writer, screenwriter and playwright. Born in Creston, Iowa, he attended the University of Iowa and the University of Colorado. From 1928 to 1931 he worked as a reporter and motion picture critic for the New York World.
Gow wrote the screenplay for the musical One Night of Love (1934). He collaborated with Arnaud d'Usseau on the story for Repent at Leisure (1941) and on the plays Tomorrow the World (1943) and Deep Are the Roots (1945). His other screen credits include I Dream Too Much (1935), Murder on a Bridle Path (1936), Bunker Bean (1936) and Moonlight in Hawaii (1941).
