Biography

James Greer is an American screenwriter, novelist, director, musician and critic. He has written or co-written screenplays for several films, including Max Keeble's Big Move (2001), Just My Luck (2006), The Spy Next Door (2010) and Unsane (2018), the latter directed by Steven Soderbergh.

With his frequent writing partner Jonathan Bernstein, Greer co-wrote the 2026 horror thrillers Twisted and The Cure. He has also published novels including Artificial Light (2006), The Failure (2010) and Bad Eminence (2022), and made his feature directorial debut with Mirror Moves (2023).
