Biography
James Head is a Canadian television director. He began his career in the camera department, working as a second assistant camera on films including 9012Live (1985) and Stakeout (1987), and later as a first assistant camera on several features in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Head made his directorial debut in 1991 with an episode of The Commish. From the mid-1990s he directed episodes of series including The Outer Limits (1995), Two (1996–97), The Crow: Stairway to Heaven (1998–99) and Earth: Final Conflict (1998–99). From 2003 he worked full-time as a director, with credits including twenty episodes of The Dead Zone (2003–07), one episode of Battlestar Galactica (2006), an episode of Stargate Atlantis (2004), episodes of Reaper (2007–08), Sanctuary (2008), Kyle XY (2008–09) and Eureka (2009), and twelve episodes of R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour (2010–14). He has also directed numerous television films.
