Biography
James Northcote is an English actor and producer. Born James Walker on 10 October 1987 in London, he trained at Queens' College, Cambridge, graduating with a BA in English in 2010, and was a member of the National Youth Theatre and Cambridge Footlights.
He made his professional screen debut as Edgar Linton in Wuthering Heights (2011). Subsequent film roles include Princess Betsy's Footman in Anna Karenina (2012), Mr Vaughan in Belle (2013), Jack Good in The Imitation Game (2014), Roberts in A United Kingdom (2016) and Aldhelm in The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die (2023). On television he has played Aldhelm in The Last Kingdom (2015–2022) and appeared in SS-GB (2017). He has also worked as a producer on short films including Morning is Broken (2015).
