Biography
James Taylor is an American actor and musician. He played the lead role of The Driver in the 1971 road film Two-Lane Blacktop, directed by Monte Hellman.
Taylor, born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1948, was cast in the film after Hellman spotted his image on a billboard. The production marked his only feature film acting role; the other principal cast members were also musicians with limited acting experience.
