Biography
James Tovell is a British director, producer, writer and occasional actor. He has directed documentaries including Secrets of the Saqqara Tomb (2020), episodes of NOVA, I Am a Killer (2018) and Mysteries of the Terracotta Warriors (2024).
His credits also include directing Cradle to Grave (2017) and the short film The Lizard Boy (2010). Earlier in his career he worked in a range of production roles and appeared as an actor, including as Terry in an episode of The IT Crowd (2008) and in EastEnders.
