Biography
James Young is a Scottish actor born on 14 June 1980 in Glasgow. He began his career at the age of 16 with a role in the BBC series Hamish Macbeth, followed by leading parts in children's series including Mr Wymi and G-Force.
Young is known for his performances as Zeb in the film Boy A (2007), Alexander MacDonald in the series Outlander (2015), and Goubo in Still Game (2002). Other credits include appearances in River City, Waterloo Road, Up There and various Scottish comedy programmes such as Chewin' the Fat and The Karen Dunbar Show.
He won Best Performance at the Scottish BAFTAs for his role in the short film Pan Fried (1998). Young has also worked in theatre productions across the UK, BBC radio plays and national television commercials.
