Biography
Jamie Donnelly is an American actress and singer. Born on 8 May 1947 in Teaneck, New Jersey, she began her career in summer stock and made her Broadway debut at seventeen in the 1965 musical Flora, the Red Menace.
She is best known for originating the role of Jan, a Pink Lady, in the Broadway production of Grease and reprising it in the 1978 film adaptation, the only cast member to do so. In the early 1970s she appeared as Magenta and the Usherette in the United States premiere of The Rocky Horror Show at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles and on Broadway. Her other screen credits include The Six Million Dollar Man (1974), Can't Hardly Wait (1998), Cyrus (2010) and Black Mass (2015), as well as guest roles in Monk and Veep.
Donnelly works as an acting coach and lives in California with her husband, novelist Stephen Foreman.
