Biography
Jamie Amanda Lee is an American comedian, actress and writer. Born on 15 March 1983 in Dallas, Texas, she studied film, theatre and screenwriting at the University of Texas at Austin before beginning her career in stand-up comedy in New York.
Lee has written for Ted Lasso (2020–), serving as writer, teleplay writer and story writer on multiple episodes, and as executive producer from its third season. She previously wrote for Crashing (2017–2019), where she also played Ali Reissen, and other series including Teachers (2016) and Killing It (2022). She created and hosted the Netflix series The Wedding Coach (2021) and is the author of the 2016 book Weddiculous: An Unfiltered Guide to Being a Bride.
Lee has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series as a producer on Ted Lasso, along with Writers Guild of America and Producers Guild of America awards for the series.
