Biography
Jamie Magnus Stone (born 15 December 1985) is a Scottish film director and animator. He studied film and television at the Edinburgh College of Art, where he made early short films including Flights and the Scottish BAFTA-nominated Fritz, before training at the National Film and Television School.
Stone is known for directing episodes of Doctor Who (2005), including four episodes in series 12 (2020) such as "Spyfall, Part 1" and "The Timeless Children", and three episodes in series 13 (2021) including "Chapter One: The Halloween Apocalypse". His other television credits include X Company (2015), The Last Dragonslayer (2016) and Nightsleeper (2024). He received a BAFTA nomination for his short film Orbit Ever After (2014).
