Biography

Jamie Mathieson is a British television screenwriter. Born in May 1970, he began his career as a stand-up comedian before transitioning to writing.

His credits include the feature film Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel (2009), multiple episodes of Being Human (2010–2013), an episode of Dirk Gently (2012), and four episodes of Doctor Who (2005) during the Peter Capaldi era: "Mummy on the Orient Express" (2014), "Flatline" (2014), "The Girl Who Died" (co-written with Steven Moffat, 2015) and "Oxygen" (2017). He created the series Tripped (2016). In 2023 he published the short story collection The First Ten.
