Biography
Jamie Travis (born 13 August 1979) is a Canadian film and television director. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, he is based in Toronto. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with the short film Why the Anderson Children Didn't Come to Dinner (2003).
Travis gained recognition for his short film trilogies The Patterns (2005–2006) and The Saddest Children in the World (including The Saddest Boy in the World, 2006), all of which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. His feature debut For a Good Time, Call... (2012) premiered at Sundance and was released by Focus Features. He has also directed music videos for Tegan and Sara.
His television directing credits include episodes of Faking It (2014–2016), Scream: The TV Series (2015–2016), The Bold Type (2017–2019), Yellowjackets (2021), A Friend of the Family (2022) and It: Welcome to Derry (2025). He has served as co-executive producer on several series, including Yellowjackets.
