Biography
Jan DeWitt was an American television producer and production manager. Born in Santa Barbara, California, he began his career in the film and television industry as a prop assistant and set painter before advancing to roles including second assistant director and unit production manager on series such as Miami Vice (1984) and Sliders (1995).
He later worked as a producer and co-producer on The Pretender (1996) and Judging Amy (1999), and served as producer and co-executive producer on Bones (2005) across more than 200 episodes. DeWitt died in Santa Barbara on 29 January 2022.
