Biography

Jan Hammenecker is a Flemish actor who works in film, television and theatre in Belgium and France. Born on 24 January 1968 in Oostende, he made his screen debut in the 1989 feature Blueberry Hill directed by Robbe De Hert.

He is known for supporting roles in Mr. Nobody (2009), Tango Libre (2012) as Dominique, The Broken Circle Breakdown (2012), The Family (2013) and The Taste of Things (2023) as Magot. His performance in Tango Libre earned a nomination for the Magritte Award for Best Actor. Hammenecker has also appeared in numerous television series, including Beau Séjour (2017) and the French series Les Témoins, and has worked extensively in theatre.
