Biography
Jane Hamsher, also credited as Jane Murphy, is an American film producer. She was born on 25 July 1959 in Massachusetts. While at the University of Southern California she formed a production company with Don Murphy (no relation).
With Murphy she produced Natural Born Killers (1994), directed by Oliver Stone, as well as Double Dragon (1994), Apt Pupil (1998), Permanent Midnight (1998) and From Hell (2001). Hamsher is the author of the 1997 memoir Killer Instinct, which recounts the making of Natural Born Killers. She later founded the political blog FireDogLake, which she published from 2004 to 2015.
